Level 1 0–23 marks
The work for the main task is possibly incomplete. There is minimal evidence in the work of the creative use of any relevant technical skills such as:

Roses are red:
For this movie the titles are presented really well and uniquely. The camera angles and mise-en-scene were used effectively. However the computer scene was very blurry as the title cannot be seen very well.
The music fits the romance genre very well and was not too loud or too quite however the duration of the music seemed too long and got boring after a while.
I feel the genre of the film was made very clear after the titles as the mirror scene with the hearts and red writing pointed out the genre very effectively, but also the previous titles created good enigma.
Blitz
Right from the offset of the film you get a 1940's feel due to the props, the photos on the wall and the 'red brick' background also give a 40's feel.
The music and use of sound is well thought out and used effectively, the distant creaks and explosions and set the atmosphere of the movie well.
I feel the mise-on-scene was effective to show the girl at the end of the film to reveal the horror genre. The opening was very slow and subtle to ensure the audience was hooked and wanted to see more of the movie the whole time.
Mother and I
The titles at the start of the opening were very basic and poor quality. They were very boring and only had a fade in and out effect that looked poor. This gave a bad impression of the film from the outset. This bad impression was maintained throughout most of the film, the content was all the same, with just a boy walking around his house paired with poor acting.
However there were some varied angles and shots used which was good and the mise-on-scene was used effectively, however the enigma is far too complex and nothing is given to the audience making it boring to watch. But the use of different age groups is effective and may add slightly to the story and enigma.
